The main advantages of this new chemical, while being as efficient as HCL acid, is the lack of emission of vapors, eliminating the need to enclose the pickling area, and the need to use special ventilation and scrubbing systems.

• Consistent and stable pickling acid, enables the setting of fixed & repeatable pickling cycles, resulting in better production planning and significantly higher efficiency.

• Less aggressive pickling acid attacks only the Iron Oxides, reduces the pitting effect, and results in lower losses of base metal.
• Smoother surface of the base metal, enables some savings of Zinc when galvanizing. Initial indications are encouraging, but proof of this requires additional data.
